NextPVR Server can receive broadcasts from a set top box that is connected to a cable or satellite service.

The set top box should be connected to an input device such as a Hauppauge Colossus using a composite or s-video or HDMI connection.

NextPVR Server can use an IR blaster to change channels on the set top box.

You will need to enter an EPG Guide source to provide a list of the channels received by your set top box. This can be a Schedules Direct lineup or an XMLTV file. Information about EPG Guide sources is at ... EPG ...

You will need to provide the name of a channel changer program or batch/command file that causes the set top box to change channels. This might be a program that sends a signal using an IR blaster.
You can specify the parameters to be passed to the channel changer ... The parameter values can be ... {channel} ... to send a complete channel number or ... {channel_dN} {channel_dN} ... repeated where "N" is a digit in the channel number ...

Click ... Import ... to create a channel list for your set top box ...

Click ... Save ... to save the list of channels.

NextPVR Server will offer to update the EPG Guide ...
