NextPVR supports several different tuner options. Many are supported on all Recording Service platforms, but some are not or have additional requirements. This table is a list of (known/expected) working tuner devices on the various platforms.

* With Docker on some Linux versions, DVB/ATSC/QAM devices from the host can be shared with the docker container by adding "--device /dev/dvb" to the container start command.

Extras
NextPVR v5 added support for "Extras" devices. These devices basically execute a script file which is responsible for outputting a transport stream (.ts) which NextPVR will then capture for a recording (or Live TV). These are considered advanced, but are also very powerful and can be a way to add support for additional hardware, etc. More information can be found here.
Extras should work in all NextPVR v5 platforms, but the format of the script file, arguments, file paths, etc. will vary depending upon the platform.
