Trade Route Plotting – Maximize Your Profits!

Elite Intel now turns your humble cargo hold into a Ferengi profit machine. Hop into your trade ship, tell your loyal side-kick “Plot me a profitable trade route,” and let the credits roll in while you buy low, sell high, and laugh all the way to the bank.

How the Greed Engine Works

1. No cargo racks? No profits!
   If your current ship has zero cargo capacity, the app will gently remind you: “Commander, this ship can’t carry a single ton. Switch to a proper freighter (even a Sidewinder with one lonely cargo rack counts).”

2. One-time Trading Profile per ship
   Every ship you own gets its own trading profile – set it once and forget it. After that, Elite Intel remembers everything like a good accountant.

3. Setting or changing the profile (voice only, because hands belong on the throttle)
   Just say “Alter trading profile” followed by what you want.

   First time setup example (required minimum for instant profit):

   • “Alter trading profile, starting capital twenty million”
   • “Alter trading profile, maximum distance from star six thousand light seconds”
   • “Alter trading profile, maximum stops eight”

   Pro tip: say “maximum stops eight”, not “to eight”. Speech-to-text sometimes hears “to” as “two” and suddenly you’re doing 28 jumps. Nobody has time for that.

   Optional profit boosters:

   • “Alter trading profile, allow permit systems”
   • “Alter trading profile, allow planetary ports”
   • “Alter trading profile, allow fleet carriers” (careful, they might be gone when you get there)
   • “Alter trading profile, allow prohibited commodities” ← for when you feel extra Ferengi today

4. Calculate the route
   Say “Calculate trade route” or “Plot profitable trade route”.
   Then grab a coffee – Spansh is crunching numbers across the galaxy. Usually ~30–60 seconds, depending on market mood swings.

5. Navigate leg-by-leg
   When ready, say “Plot route to next trade stop” (or “next trading post/market/port/station”).
   The magic words are Plot + trade + any station synonym.

6. On arrival
   Elite Intel will immediately announce: which station to dock at and what commodity to buy/sell.
   Forgetful? Just ask “What am I buying here?” or “Where am I selling this cargo?” (specify buy/sell or you might get the wrong half of the deal).

7. After loading cargo
   Say “Plot route to next trade stop” again – now it sends you to the sell location with the fattest profit margin.

8. Got distracted by pirates/shiny things?
   Route persists until finished, overridden or canceled. Want a fresh one? Empty cargo hold first!
   (Future feature: “Sell whatever junk I’m carrying to the highest bidder” is on the wish list – Rome wasn’t looted in a day.)
