OpenTX externalaccessmod wiki

Note : this option is currently under development, and is not yet available at time of writing of this page. Availability is scheduled in 2.3.11 nightlies and 2.3.11 release.

This page is a reference guide for "externalaccessmod" for some supported radios. This mod allows you to use the FrSky R9M 2019 in ACCESS mode with the following radios. In addition to the hardware modification, a firmware with 'externalaccessmod' option needs to be flashed on the radio.

When running this mod, the FrSky R9M 2019 external module can be used in Access mode, so you can use FrSky 900MHz Access receiver range. Settings up module and receiver from the radio is supported, and receiver OTA upgrade is supported too.

Operation of other external or internal modules like Crossfire, Ghost or external Multi-module is not affected by the hardware modification nor by the firmware option. All the modules can be used as usual.

FrSky X10

X10 requires a mod that provides two high speed inverters. 1 x Team Blacksheep Q7 Mod (https://www.team-blacksheep.com/products/prod:qx7mod) and one SBUS inverter (can be found on Aliexpress) are therefore required media/hw_mod_x10_schema.png
