Version 2 of the plugin strips out a good deal of functionality, but for the good of it. Gone is the clunky way in which an account is created automatically, and in comes a fresh approach to working around the MyBB login/register system.

Profile Names
Version 1 of the plugin took the display name from the Steam account and used that as the username. This has been stripped out. Instead, on logging in through Steam, if an account doesn't exist for the Steam ID you'll be taken to the MyBB register screen where you'll complete the form as usual. On completion of the registration form your account will be linked with your Steam ID. You can then login using your Steam account.

Postbit
We have added a new section to the postbit which will show if a forum account has been linked to Steam. It will show the name of the user, along with their Steam avatar picture. Clicking the name will take you directly to their Steam profile.

User Control Panel
There are now 2 ways in which you can connect with Steam:

• You can register a new forum account with Steam.
• You can link an existing forum account with Steam. There is a new page within the User Control Panel that let's existing users link their Steam account.
