Why will the system be built?

It is important for web stores to recommend relevant products to their users to increase the amount of products sold. On the other hand, this also makes shopping more convenient for customers as they will find new products they might want.

Currently, STACC can only provide this solution to clients using Magento web-stores using a specialized extension for communications between the web-environment and the recommendation system. With the help of this WooCommerce extension, STACC hopes to reach more web stores by offering their recommender service to stores using Wordpress + WooCommerce.

What type of system will it be and what will the system allow its users to achieve?

A WooCommerce extension that is able to send user events (clicks (product view), add-to-cart, purchase, search) with item information to STACC’s recommendation system and then retrieve and display recommendations to the user.
