When you run the application for the first time, by default, the iPhone and iPad devices are created using the AirPlay screen mirror application, and for Android the EasyCast application.

To add, delete, or edit devices press on the Devices toolbar button Devices Button

The window below will be displayed:

Devices Button

Device Name: Name your device, the only restriction is that the name needs to be unique. The name will be displayed when selecting a Device.

Mirror App Window Name: The window name of your chosen mirror app, this is usually displayed on the title bar of the window, for example AirPlay, EasyCast. It's important to get this right otherwise the Connector won't be able to locate the correct window when taking a screenshot.

Mirror App Path(Optional): The Connector can automatically start the mirror application for you if it's not already running when selecting a device. Use the Browse button and locate the correct file to start your selected mirror application. Please note: for Windows Store Apps such as AirPlay, Windows has security policies that will not allow the Connector to start the application.

To overcome this you can follow the following steps to create a shortcut link which the Connector can then run:

  1. Press Windows Key + R.
    Type shell:AppsFolder and click OK.
    This will open the Applications Folder.
    In the Folder, find the App you want to create the Shortcut for.
    Right-click on the App Icon.
    Select the Create shortcut Option.
    Select 'Yes' to create the shortcut on the Desktop\
  2. Go to your Desktop, right-click on the new shortcut, select the 'General' tab and check the 'Location', will be something like C:\Users\xxx\Desktop were xxx is your user name.
  3. Open file explorer and navigate to the 'Location' folder
  4. Copy the name of the shortcut and append the 'Location' folder, e.g. C:\Users\xxx\Desktop\AirPlay - Shortcut.lnk
