General description
The NIH's Stimulating Peripheral Activity to Relieve Conditions (SPARC) program was designed to transform our understanding of nerve-organ interactions to advance bioelectronic medicine toward treatments that change lives. SPARC bridges the body and the brain.
The SPARC Portal is an open neuroscience and systems physiology platform containing multi-species data, knowledge, computational modeling, and spatial mapping. It provides interactive access to a growing collection of data, maps, and computational studies focusing on the autonomic nervous system's role in controlling organ function. These resources are available to the public to advance bioelectronic medicine toward more precise treatment of diseases and conditions.
