General description
Pedianet is a non-profit family paediatrician network that was founded in 1998 to collect data from outpatient family paediatricians in Italy for clinical and epidemiological research. The Pedianet database was founded in January of 2000. The Pedianet system has the benefit of gathering data at a population level as a by-product of everyday actions, resulting in significantly more data than ad hoc research. Inpatient diagnoses (48,000,001), medication prescriptions (31,500,001), anthropometric measurements (16,400,001), specialist medical examination (12,000,001), and physical examination or lab test (16,000,001) information are all included in the data .
