The Prostate, Lung, Colorectal and Ovarian (PLCO) Cancer Screening Trial is a randomized, controlled trial designed to determine whether certain screening exams reduce mortality from colorectal, lung, ovarian, and prostate cancers.
The PLCO Cancer Screening Trial enrolled approximately 155,000 participants between the ages of 55 and 74, over the span of eight (08) years (November 1993 - July 2001) at ten demographically and geographically disparate sites.
