General description
The Office of Nutrition Research (ONR) is dedicated to enhancing nutrition science with the goal of improving health and reducing the prevalence of diseases related to diet and nutritional disparities. To achieve this, ONR emphasizes the importance of facilitating access to publicly available datasets, biospecimens, and a variety of tools and resources for data analysis, thereby promoting the advancement of research in nutrition science.
- ONR comprises multiple repositories for Data and Biospecimens, amongst which are:
-
National Collaborative on Childhood Obesity Research (NCCOR)
-
NIH Office of Dietary Supplements (ODS) Dietary Supplement Label Database (DSLD)
-
National Cancer Institute (NCI) Cancer Epidemiology Descriptive Cohort Database (CEDCD)
-
National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) Central Repository
- ONR comprises multiple Data Analysis Tools and Resources, amongst which are:
-
National Cancer Institute (NCI) Resources for Researchers (R4R)
-
National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) BioData Catalyst
-
The Database for Annotation, Visualization and Integrated Discovery (DAVID)
-
National Cancer Institute (NCI) Dietary Assessment Research Resources (DARR)
