General description

The Neuroscience Information Framework (NIF) is an evolving directory of online neuroscience resources, including data, materials, and tools that are accessible from any internet-connected computer. The NIF facilitates neuroscience research by providing a platform for discovering and accessing public research data and tools globally via an open-source, networked setup. It boasts the most comprehensive searchable database of neuroscience data, the biggest catalog of biomedical resources, and the largest web-based ontology specifically dedicated to neuroscience.
