General description

The National Alzheimer’s Coordinating Center (NACC) was designed to modernize the collection, integration, and sharing of data to advance Alzheimer’s research. NACC comprises one of the largest, oldest, and most potent Alzheimer’s datasets and facilitates collaborative research between more than 42 Alzheimer’s Disease Research Centers (ADRCs) across the US.

Also, the NACC provides a valuable resource for both exploratory and explanatory Alzheimer's disease research and has developed and maintains an extensive relational database of standardized clinical and neuropathological research data.

Linkages

The NACC partners with the Alzheimer's Disease Genetics Consortium (ADGC), the National Centralized Repository for Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders (NCRAD), and the NIA Genetics of Alzheimer's Disease Data Storage Site (NIAGADS) to build a one-stop-shop for all ADRC data, the “Data Front Door” (DFD).
