General description

MedNLI is a Natural Language Inference (NLI) dataset for the Clinical Domain. NLI is one of several tasks for understanding natural language and is designed to determine if a given hypothesis can be inferred from a given premise.

MedNLI is annotated by doctors, grounded in the medical history of patients, and presents strategies to:

1. Leverage transfer learning using datasets from the open domain, and
2. Incorporate domain knowledge from external data and lexical sources.
