General description

LDbase is an NIH-funded collaboration between librarians and researchers to build a first-of-its-kind behavioral project-oriented data repository containing decades of knowledge from developmental and educational sciences on individuals across the full range of abilities. LDbase was designed to be a powerful resource that opens up new research areas and accelerates discoveries, thus inspiring innovative research that helps us understand how individuals learn, develop, differ from each other, learn new languages, respond to interventions, and interact with their communities.

LDbase is an open science resource and provides a secure place to access and store data, as well as access materials about aspects of data management and analyses. LDbase is unique in that it is project-oriented (flexible and hierarchical) rather than dataset-oriented, meeting the needs of how our field thinks about data.
