General description

The HIV databases are repositories that offer extensive information on HIV genetic sequences and immunological epitopes. Their purpose is twofold:

  1. To serve as a central source of detailed HIV genetic and immunological epitope data through the compilation, annotation, and upkeep of a relational database

  2. To create methods and tools for analyzing HIV sequences and molecular immunology. These tools, equipped with searchable web interfaces, are designed to aid in the development and design of vaccines and therapies.
