General description

The Healthy Ireland Survey (HIS) is an annual survey conducted to gather data on the health and wellbeing of the Irish population. Initiated by the Department of Health, this survey aims to inform health policies and programs by providing a comprehensive overview of health behaviors, health status, and healthcare utilization among Irish residents.

A representative sample of Ireland's population aged 15 and over is used for the Healthy Ireland Survey; often, this number exceeds 7,500. Ipsos MRBI has been the company doing fieldwork thus far. The data collected covers a wide array of health-related topics, contributing to the understanding and improvement of public health in Ireland.
