General description

The Genetic Testing Registry (GTR®) is a freely accessible database of orderable clinical and research genetic test descriptions and the laboratories that provide them. GTR was designed to advance public health and research into the genetic basis of health and disease, bring transparency to the testing field, and support clinicians ordering tests.

As such, GTR provides a central location for the voluntary submission of genetic test information by providers across multiple scopes, including (but not limited to) the test's purpose, methodology, validity, evidence of its usefulness, and laboratory contacts and credentials.
