General description

FoodData Central offers a comprehensive data system that enhances nutrient profile data and connects to relevant agricultural and experimental studies. This platform encompasses five distinct types of data, each offering detailed insights into food and nutrient profiles. While these data categories have their own specific features and uses, they can be collectively employed in diverse ways to support a wide range of research and associated goals.

1. Foundation Foods.
2. Experimental Foods.
3. USDA Global Branded Food Products Database (Branded Foods).
4. Food and Nutrient Database for Dietary Studies 2019-2020 (FNDDS 2019-2020).
5. National Nutrient Database for Standard Reference Legacy Release (SR Legacy).
