General description
The Federal Health Reporting (FHR) (Gesundheitsberichterstattung des Bundes, GBE) regularly supplies data and information about the German population's status of health and the country's healthcare systems. FHR addresses a wide range of subjects, including diseases, their symptoms, and risk factors; subjective well-being and health-related quality of life; use of preventative and medical services; and the composition and expenses of healthcare systems.
The information and facts are published in a variety of formats, including the GBE reports and the Journal of Health Monitoring. They differ in the breadth and depth of their presentations and analysis and cater to different user groups. In addition to population-based studies, registry data, official statistics, administrative data, and other health surveys, the Robert Koch Institute's health surveys are among the data sources used for Federal Health Reporting.
