General description
The Estonian Health Insurance Fund (EHIF) database is an administrative database that contains claims data from Estonian healthcare providers and is funded by the EHIF. It includes details on each medical contact, as well as prescription drugs, medical gadgets, and disability benefits. The major goal of the database is to fund healthcare and to monitor contracts since the compensation of the costs of treatments and prescription drugs is dependent on data.

Limitations
- The EHIF database's biggest flaw is that its data isn't always accurate. Only up to a certain level of accuracy may be guaranteed. Documented indications (diagnosis codes), for example, may occasionally be inaccurate.
