General description
The European Health Data & Evidence Network (EHDEN) Academy is an online educational resource aimed at becoming the primary resource for anyone working in real-world data use and evidence generation. The EHDEN Academy was created as an IMI2 (Innovative Medicines Initiative) EHDEN project to expand on the success of the EHDEN project and its partnership with the Observational Health Data Science & Informatics (OHDSI) community.
The EHDEN Academy is intended to be a resource for all those interested in the methodological development and use of standardized analytical tools within the OHDSI framework, as well as those who generate and consume data, work technically with it (such as ETL and mapping of data to the OMOP common data model). EHDEN Academy offers the opportunity to learn first-hand from experienced users and developers.
Every training and development program is free and accessible from any location at any time. The Academy's initial scope comprises four sections:
- Tool Ecosystem: focuses on working with the OMOP common data model, related tools, and methodologies and provides training on using the most recent observational research tools.
- Meet Like-minded People: offers a free exchange of ideas with a multidisciplinary group of learners
- Join the Journey: assists anyone in getting ready to participate in global face-to-face events.
- Connect with Experts: enables users to gain knowledge from knowledgeable teachers working to increase the potency of research tools.
