General description

The Consortium of Metabolomics Studies (COMETS) represents a collaborative effort between extramural and intramural entities, fostering cooperation among prospective cohort studies. These studies track participants over time for various health outcomes and conduct metabolomic profiling of individuals. COMETS is dedicated to promoting the free flow of ideas, expertise, and findings, with the goal of advancing research into how metabolomics profiles are linked to chronic diseases, such as heart disease, diabetes, and cancer.
