General description
The Comprehensive Ambulatory Professional Encounter Record (CAPER) is the only source of direct care, outpatient clinical data replacement for the Standard Ambulatory Data Record (SADR) dataset.
Each unique observation represents one ambulatory outpatient encounter or professional service taking place within a military treatment facility. The information captured includes diagnosis and procedure codes, cost and Relative Value Units (RVUs) for each episode of care, and provider type as well as departments rendering care.
