CAD Summary - spacecraft-design-lab-2019/documentation GitHub Wiki

The CAD is stored in the Spacecraft Design Mechanical Systems Team Fusion360 project (to be added, contact Keiko). There are folders where different components of the satellite can be found: Antenna, Batteries, External Boards, Internal Boards, Kill Switches, and Structural Components. There are also folders for the Alba Track and Test Fixture.

The Alba Track folder contains the models of the AlbaPod track, another version with the keep-out zone for the solar panels, and another file that contains the track and the PocketQube assembly to check the clearance for the kill switches.

In the Batteries folder, models of the two AdaFruit batteries used in the satellite (1317 and 1570), the battery donut, battery harness, battery donut subassembly, and other battery components are stored. There is a model of the battery donut for Windform which is the same as the other battery donut CAD but without the rev on the model.

In the External Boards folder, the CAD of the external boards is stored as well as the subassembly of the six external boards with the antenna holder and antenna.

The camera board and mainboard CAD are stored in the Internal Boards folder.

The vertical rail, screw, and heat set insert models are stored in the Structural Components folder with the vertical rails subassembly which includes those components. There is a model of the vertical rails for Windform which is the same as the other vertical rails model but without the rev on the model.

Outside the folders are the models for the camera and flat flex as well as the entire PocketQube assembly.

If unsure about which version of a component is in use, the component can be right-clicked and the option “Find in Browser” can be selected to show that component in the tree on the left side of the screen. If that component has its own CAD file, it can be opened from the tree by right-clicking and selecting “Open”.
