- Balanced with 1317-1 for parallel testing
Test Number | Date | Objective | Parameters | Notes |
---|
- Balancing passively with 10kOhm resistor as of 12/5/19
- Mounted in battery test box with thermistor cutouts on 12/5/19
Test Number | Date | Objective | Parameters | Notes |
---|
- Soldered in parallel to common XT60 connector on 12/4/19
- Mounted in battery test box with thermistor cutouts on 12/4/19
- Awaiting vacuum testing while 1317-3/4 balance
- Soldered XT60 connector to AdaFruit 1317
- measured voltage 3.78 V
- Want to charge at "quick charge" rate, 30mA, but min. charger output for iSDT D2 is 100mA
- AdaFruit says to charge at 100mA on their website, and does not sell a charger capable of the rated charge current on the cell datasheets
- Will charge at 100mA for "wear-in" cycles since we have no alternative, and follow test plan otherwise
- Charged 70mAh in 47min
- Wait 30min before discharge according to datasheet
- Discharge at 100mA, lowest charger can do (max rated discharge for batteries is 1C5)
- Charger only allows discharge between 3.2V and 3.4V, picking 3.3V
- Discharged 128mAh in 1h40min
- Capacity well below minimum rated on datasheet - probably artifact of much higher charge and discharge rates than rated
- Battery 1317-1 moved into battery donut at start of vacuum cycles
- Battery 1317-2 fresh out of box into battery donut without wear-in
- Vacuum chamber does not hold vacuum unless valve at chamber is closed, pump loses suction after a few minutes
- First vacuum cycles constrained in battery donut, measured 7.85mm slot width and 8.00mm combined battery width
- "vacuum" achieved is approximately -30inHg, but pressure gauge is sticky and does not have sufficient resolution to show asymptotic vacuum strength
