Map Overlays

Map Overlays is a feature that adds an overlay of map pins on-top of the standard chunk map. It is used to see an overall visual of the spread of different features, maybe within your unlocked chunks or in nearby chunks, or just to see generally how they are distributed.

The Map Overlays window can be opened via the button with the pin icon at the bottom-left of the screen. Once the button has been clicked, a window will open showing options for what overlay is currently selected (if any), and options to change the active overlay. The overlay options currently include:

• Shooting Stars
  • Landing sites for the Shooting Stars Distraction & Diversion.
• Impling Spawns
  • Overworld spawn locations for the Impling Hunter creature.
• Puro-Puro Entrances
  • Locations of wheat fields containing a spawn point for a crop circle, which is an entrance to the Impetuous Impulses minigame.
• Clues
  • Each clue tier (Beginner, Easy, Medium, Hard, Elite, Master) is listed here and any number of which can be selected and viewed together.
  • These overlays also have the unique property of being interactable. Left-click one of the clue overlay pins to see the clue step at that location. If multiple clues are within the location, arrows at the top of the pop-up window will appear, and can be clicked to cycle through the clues at that location.

In addition to the overlay selections, there is also a checkbox at the top of the window for "Within unlocked chunks only". Turning this option ON will limit the overlays of any type shown to only be within the borders of your currently unlocked chunks. This can be useful for seeing which shooting star locations you have access to currently, or similar.
