1. What do I do if I can't reach something within my chunks?

Firstly, make sure that the website hasn't already accounted for you not being able to reach it (many times it already has). You can check if something like a monster or object is part of your map by clicking the magnifying glass icon 🔍 at the top-left of your map, and then searching for the monster or object to see if it shows up. It will also tell you where you have access to it within your chunks!

If you've verified that the monster or object not being reachable is not accounted for by the website already, your next step should be to verify that you've selected your Chunk Sections properly. Sections are parts of a single chunk, typically separated by something like a river, a fence, or terrain. If you're only able to access part of your chunk, and something in another part of the chunk is unreachable, it's likely that your Chunk Sections are messed up. Luckily, this is an easy fix!

To fix your Chunk Sections, open the Accessible Areas panel on the right-side of your screen, just below your Active Tasks. Click the 'Sections' text within to open the Sections window, then select the chunk in question. The window that opens will display a visual indication of what sections of the chunk the website currently thinks you have access to (in white). If these are incorrect, you can correct them via the buttons just below: marking a section red tells the website to ignore anything in this section of the chunk, and will likely be all you need to fix your problem. Just remember to undo this action once you eventually have access to this section in the future!

If Chunk Sections still didn't help, you can Backlog Source the monster or object in question to manually remove it from your map. Open the Backlog panel on the right-sode of your screen, just below Accessible Areas. Click the 'Backlog Source' text at the top of the panel, then type the monster or object you want to remove into the text box. Click the check-box next to the monster or object in question, close the window, then click the 'Calculate Tasks' button at the top of your Active Tasks panel. Remember to undo this action once you have access to this monster or object in the future, even if it comes from another chunk on the map, too!

2. There's a monster that spawns outside of my chunks and wanders into them sometimes. How do I tell the website that I can kill this monster, and to consider drops from it obtainable?

First of all, understand that most chunkers do not consider monsters that wander into your chunks, but spawn outside them, as required content. If you choose to want to include them, you're free to do so though! To add a wandering monster, click the 'Manually Add To My Chunks' button, on the right-side of your screen below your Active Tasks. Click the 'Items/Monsters/NPCs/Objects/Shops' text, then type the monster's name into the text box. Click the check-box next to it, close the window, and click the 'Calculate Tasks' button at the top of your Active Tasks panel.

3. When rolling my next chunk, what counts as a rollable chunk? Do boats count as a valid way to roll a chunk?

What counts as a rollable chunk is entirely up to you! Part of playing a chunk account is making it your own, and having your own rules that make sense to you. So, if you want boats to count as rollable chunks, or teleport locations, or canoe destinations, or want to roll random chunks every roll, do it!

That being said, if you want to follow the "typical" way a chunker rolls, most chunker roll the same way. Chunks are typically marked as rollable if they are an adjacent, walkable chunk from one of your currently unlocked chunks. This doesn't include chunks that aren't walkable at all, like black void chunks or ocean chunks (until Sailing at least...), or chunks that aren't walkable from your current chunks (usually because of a wall or fence or similar blocking your path). For islands, the entrance to the island (usually the destination chunk of a boat) is marked as rollable once the starting chunk of the boat is unlocked. For example, for Entrana to be rollable, the Port Sarim chunk with the boat to Entrana must first be unlocked, and then the Entrana chunk with the docks is rollable. Typically this only applies to chunks that would otherwise not be reachable, mainly islands, and not to chunks that could eventually be walked to after unlocking enough chunks. This rules out things like taking a Charter ship from Port Sarim to Catherby, since you'll be able to unlock Catherby by walking to it eventually. This also rules out unlocking multiple entrances to an island, like rolling both the Musa Point dock by boat and the Brimhaven dock by boat (once one of the two is rolled, the other one should no longer be rollable).

Again, it is very common for chunkers to make their own rules for this though, so don't feel constrained to following these rules exactly. Many choose to allow charters to count as ways to roll chunks, or canoes, or even Fairy Rings and more.

4. The website is telling me to do a bunch of tasks related to Slayer, but my current Slayer task is one that I can't do. How do I tell the website that I can't train Slayer currently?

You can tell the website that you are 'Slayer Locked', aka have a Slayer task that you can't do and therefore can't train Slayer, via the Activity Info window. This window is opened via the Activity Info blue button at the top-middle of your map. Click the tab with the Slayer icon in the window that pops up, then click the 'Lock Slayer' text. Select the task that you were assigned, enter your current Slayer level, the click Lock Slayer. Closing the window and clicking the 'Calculate Tasks' button at the top of your Active Tasks should remove any requirements related to Slayer above your current level!

Do note that this won't work with some tasks, usually related to Slayer-Only caves or Slayer Point unlocks, since the website won't know if you had done them before becoming Slayer Locked or not. For these tasks, usually Backlogging the monster or task itself will work fine.

5. What is the difference between Vanilla, Xtreme, and Supremes Rules?

There are many differences between the 3 rulesets:

For Vanilla rules, almost everything specific to a chunk is involved in a chunk task, although not always to the highest ability. Vanillas don't include Skillcapes or Collection Logs, but still require items to be gotten if they are a Best In Slot, or are involved in another chunk task. Vanillas also require skills to have a primary training method within their chunks before tasks of that skill are required, which usually involves having a somewhat standard training method.

For Xtreme rules, everything that is specific to a chunk is involved in chunk tasks, as well as some things that aren't chunk specific. Xtremes do Skillcapes, Collection Logs (including pets), and must process items to the highest possible level. They also must do any tier diary task they're able to, and can be given tasks for a skill with much worse training methods for. There are some oddities in the ruleset, including requiring level 90 Mining to mine shooting stars once one is unlocked, and not counting combat or teleport spells as a way to process runes via Magic.

For Supreme rules, everything that can be done within a chunk is basically done. All of what Xtremes do, and in addition also require unlocking Prayers, skilling pets, full droptables of monsters, and completing extensive permanent unlockable content.

When picking rules for your account, it's recommended that you pick a ruleset that you think you resonate most with, and adjust the rules to make them your own. Maybe you'll pick Xtreme, but remove requiring Skillcapes, or pick Vanilla and add Collection Log tasks. You can always change your rules after starting your account, too!

6. The website is telling me to do a task for a certain skill, but I don't know how I can train that skill within my chunks. How do I check how I am able to train that skill?

Open the Activity Info window via the 'Activity Info' blue button at the top-middle of your screen. Click the 'Skills' tab if not already selected, scroll down to the skill in question, and click the 'View Methods' text to view your training methods. You can also click the (i) button ⓘ to view how you are able to do that training method specifically.

7. I saw someone else's map that had cool icons of a skull or a star on different chunks, how do I add these to my map?

These are Chunk Stickers! You can add a sticker to any chunk by hovering a chunk with your mouse, holding the Ctrl key, and clicking the tag icon 🏷️ that appears. You can also change the color or the icon from here, or set a note that will appear when you hover + Ctrl over the sticker on your map!

8. How do I backlog a task that I can't/don't want to do?

If you find yourself backlogging many tasks, you might want to change your Rules to better fit your playstyle. Setting better rules to suit how you play is the easiest way to prevent having to backlog tasks, and makes everything easier in the long run.

If you need to backlog a bunch of tasks that all stem from a single source, like a shop or monster, you can instead just Backlog Source that source! Navigate to the Backlog panel on the right-side of the screen below Active Tasks, and click the 'Backlog Source' button at the top of the panel. Choose the monster or shop or whatever source you want to Backlog, click the check-box, close the window, and click the 'Calculate Tasks' button at the top of your Active Tasks panel. Remember to un-backlog this source if you decide it shouldn't be backlogged at some point in the future!

If you need to backlog a single task, click the sliders icon next to the task in your Active Tasks, then click Backlog in the menu that appears. You can unbacklog this task at any point in the future by opening the Backlog Panel just below your Active Tasks, clicking the sliders icon next to the task in question, and clicking Unbacklog in the menu that appears.

9. I'm trying to join the OneChunkClan and I need a 14 days old map to join. How do I check how old my Chunk Picker map is?

You can check how old your map is by clicking the cogwheel icon at the top-right of your screen, then selecting Chunk-Roll History in the dropdown. At the bottom of the window that opens is the date that your chunk picker map was created.

If you haven't already joined, consider joining the OneChunkClan ingame!

10. I used random event lamps to lamp one of my skills up. How do I tell the website that I've done this so it starts showing me tasks for this skill?

To set a skill that you have passively leveled (i.e. a skill that you have leveled via random event lamps), open the Activity Info window via the blue Activity Info button at the top-middle of your screen. On the skills tab, scroll to the skill in question and click the edit icon next to the skill. In the window that opens, enter the level you have lamped to in the top Passive Leveling input, then click Save Levels and Calculate Tasks via the button at the top of your Active Tasks. Doing this might present you with more Active Tasks, depending on what training methods you may now have unlocked and what tasks are now doable.

11. Why is the website telling me to do this task?

While it would be impossible to answer why a task is being shown for every specific task, a good place to start looking to understand is Task Details. Task Details can be viewed by clicking the sliders icon next to the chunk, then selecting Details in the menu that appears. This window will show how you have access to the items and objects and more needed for the task, and will hopefully illuminate how the task is doable within your chunks.

12. How do I tell the website that I made an exception to complete a quest before going to my starting chunk (Priest in Peril, Children of the Sun, Druidic Ritual, etc.)?

If you've made an exception to complete a quest outside your chunks, make sure you manually add the quest to your map so that the website can calculate your tasks accordingly. This can be done by clicking the "Manually Add To My Chunks" text below your Active Tasks, clicking the "Tasks" text, and then checking-off the task for completing the quest in question. After doing so, recalculate your Active Tasks and you're good to go! The website will now know that you've done this quest outside your chunks, and will give you tasks accordingly.

13. There's a monster that spawns within my chunks that typically isn't reachable (blocked from me by a fence or similar), but I have magic/range combat and telegrab runes. How do I tell the website that I can kill this monster, and to consider drops from it obtainable via telegrab?

The chunk picker is intentionally not including this monster within your chunks because it is typically unreachable by standard means. Some people choose to allow monsters that can be ranged and their drops telegrabbed, while others don't, so the decision is left up to you. If you do want to add a monster that is out-of-reach to your tasks, follow the steps listed in the answer to question 2.

14. I want to test something on my map (test-roll a chunk, change some of my rules, etc.). Is there a way to do this without messing up my map?

The chunk picker has a feature exactly for this actually! The feature is called Sandbox Mode, and enabling it lets you play around with your map, change rules, roll chunks, or anything else that you want to do! When in Sandbox Mode, none of your changes are saved, so it is perfect for doing something to your map that you don't want to actually keep.

Sandbox Mode can be enabled by clicking the cogwheel icon at the top-right of your screen, then selecting Sandbox Mode in the dropdown. Sandbox Mode can be disabled in the same way, or by pressing the Esc key.
