Board image: CDB Assist v3.1 board

Block diagram: CDB Assist v3 block diagram

Features:

  • USB powered through the Control port
  • Control port exposes two virtual ACM serial ports, a control interface and a target UART
  • Target UART bitrate range is 50bps to 4Mbps, external or internal voltage reference 1V to 5V
  • Target UART can be internally routed to almost any external pin, see 10-pin connector pinout page
  • Programmable "VBAT" power supply (0-15V, 0-2500mA max 10W) with readout
  • Optional dummy-load board with current readout that can sink up to 13W with fan assist (min voltage and max current programmable from control interface)
  • USB switching including complete disconnect (simulating target USB cable unplugging)
  • USB VBUS voltage and current monitoring (including direction - in or out of the target)
  • Programmable resistance can be applied between USB ID pin and ground to simulate all known RID values
  • Capable of simulating keypresses in a matrix by using three analog switches. This has been used to "press" the reflash button and the power button on targets to facilitate automated flashing and testing. See 10-pin connector pinout page for other uses of the pins.

The eLinux wiki page has more information (showing an earlier version of the board but the usage applies to this version as well)
