Unfortunately, the choice of licensing does matter. Some license forms preclude using the software in commercial settings.
We want anyone in any setting to be able to use the fruit of our labors, hence we only ant to make sure that it is impossible to hijack or re-sell anything. Therefore, LGPL seems the right choice.
