Complete build with Bemicro SDK, two voltage regulator boards (3.3/5), LPF and amplifier.
More information in this PDF.

Just a basic 1.21 with Bemicro CV. Now working on adding an amp, lpf and box it up. Also have a 1.22 to build.
N2ADR
This is a 1.22 with a BeMicro SDK mounted on an aluminum plate. The two TO-220 linear regulators supply 5.0 and 3.3V, and are powered from an 8 volt bench supply. There is a rubber bumper under the BeMicro to keep the boards level. The wires in the front are for the key. I am designing a filter for the AD9866 and you can see the leaded parts version on the front end board.
KF7O
This is the Hermes-Lite setup at KF7O. There is a small table in my second story bedroom closet with various Hermes-Lites under test. I use Dave Miller's power supply and a modified version of John Williams' superband PA with QRP Labs LPFs. My antenna is a 20/15/10M attic dipole.

Here is an alternative way to mount the waveshare board. I cut the power connectors off the adapter board and mounted it upside down on the connector. I cut off the reset pins from the waveshare as they got a bit close to the cv header pins. I would be simple to make a new adapter board to do the same thing. It seems to work perfectly.

Here's KC9OJV's version 1.21. It has 3 pin linear regulators (lots'O heat) and copious amounts of connectors for ease of disassembly. John William's amplifier is off to the right and doing a yeoman's job.
DL9LJ
Hermes-Lite connected to an old FT-707 with simple modifications. PC with ASUS Xonar D2 Soundcard. Mike is Turner Plus Three connected to Mic in. Works well - good reports ...

My improved Hermes-Lite setup in a fairly large box to allow further experimentation. Top right: 5V input with a 3.3 V regulator. Bottom: PreV2-amp assembled in a homemade PCB with an adequate heatsink. Next to the amp, the official PreV2 amp board with 5 LPF's assembled. Top left: 20V input with a 15V regulator, T/R switch and the 30 MHz low-pass or reconstruction filter. In the front plate, metering for voltage and PA current plus manual LPF selection switches.
Works OK with PowerSDR in the digital modes JT65 and JT9. Also tested/used in RTTY contests (CQ WW RTTY, JATRS, WAE) with good performance. 200 Hz filter really makes a difference !. SSB with PowerSDR seems to be fine, received good audio reports during domestic rag chewing in 80 mb.
My Hermes Lite V2 beta5 is more or less completed. I have used similar enclosure as for my HL1 including also a 15W PA with 2 x RD16HFF MOSFETS. Images of this and other homemade station equipment can be found at: http://www.elisanet.fi/oh2lzi/

This is my Hermes-Lite, built as a result of a gift of a CV8 demo board from Jim (in UK). I never actually meant to get so involved as I am also a big fan of the Picastar transceiver originally by G3XJP, having built 7 of them (yes its additive) See QRZ.COM
I guess it looks much like any of the builds on this page, as all the hardware so far, is the basic board set. One addition is a 4N35 opto coupler on perf board, for the PTT input line which some builders have found is prone to damaging the FPGA input pin with static voltages. I have also built up the Pre-V2 5W board although not yet fully tested it.
Eventual 'plan' is to use a 150W PA I have from ex commercial SSB service but in meantime it will use the Pre-V2 5W board. Or, use the Picastar PA board set, either 20W or 140W output.(by G6ALU)
In the meantime I have been using Alan, M6NNB's, program to run my set-up in WSPR Rx mode and been surprised to see how I can hear spots from all over the world, Europe, UK, NZ, USA and of course Australia. Prior to Hermes-Lite, I must have been living under a mushroom as I had never heard of WSPR mode !

Serge's setup with a complete v1.2 frontend and a powerful CVA9. All boards from OshPark.

This is my starter HL project with the BeMicro SDK and the linear PS from my old HPSDR Atlas board project. DJ Hercules MIDI controller on the right works very well with different SDR projects supporting MIDI devices. Forget about the mouse... The tuning knob on the VFO A is the adder from the old, out of service Kenwood radio. It feels much better than the plastic wheel....

Here is photo of 3 HL's I mounted into a 2U 19" chassis. These receivers are being used for CW, RTTY, WSPR and JT9/JT65 skimming operation here at my QTH in Prescott Valley Az. You can find additional info on my QRZ.com page: http://qrz.com/db/NO1D I have a 4th HL just installed in a 1U chassis I hope to get Tx working on it soon for some QRP operation. Thanks to Steve, Alan and everyone on this project contributing to success of v1.x and soon to be v2.x.

Here's a picture of my Hermes-Lite v1.22 board. It's a work in progress project. Rx and TX works and waiting for the v1.42 frontend to complete a 5w Transceiver.

I use my Hermes Lite probably more often than my other rigs (a Picastar, a “mobo 6.3” softrock based, a UHFSDR…. ), thanks to Steve KF7O.
This built is using a 1 W OPA2677 driver,
a 10-15 W Pennywhistle amplifier and, from time to time, a G6ALU 150W amp or a commercial 300 W linear followed by a G4TZR LPF.
The main case contains the Hermes Lite “chain” (BeMicro, H.L. board, front end board), the two amps -1W and a TAPR's Pennywhistle- and the main “big filter board” originally designed for the Softrock Mobo 6.3 project. This filter (Tcheb bpf configuration) is only used during TX. Absolutely no RX differences have been measured between a “full filtered config” and a “barefoot Hermes Lite”.
The other side of the case contains the power supply -I know, lot of heat using conventional linear regulators, but a nice radial fan- an old CW keyer board and the command board for the filters (ULN2803)
