Fifth Meeting - snowpuppy/augreality GitHub Wiki
Notes from Meeting on July 21, 2013
2pm - 3:30pm
In order to get building coordinates from Google Maps:
- Scrape images+url requests from Google Mapmaker->Browse->Places.
- Process images via color thresholding (buildings are red, everything else is greyish).
- Determine polygon coordinates from pixels that represent building (require pixel->GPS_lat/long conversion).
OpenStreetMaps is backup solution if Google Mapmaker scraping doesn't work.
Alec is familiar with LCD driver (ILI9340) of the LCD we are considering, and has a similar LCD that we can prototype on.
