For either scenario, a second ticket should be created and assigned to another team member.

If the work can be divided evenly

A second ticket should be created that is similar to the original ticket.

Within the original ticket:

• The person who claims it should describe what portion of the work they completed and what the other person has completed, so the manager is easily able to see what's been achieved overall.

Within the second ticket:

• The other team member should document the work they completed.

The original ticket must be linked to the second ticket.

If the work cannot be split

If the task cannot be reasonably divided, or it would be more efficient for one person to complete it:

• One team member completes the implementation work.
• The other team member takes the documentation role and answers any questions that arise during the lab.

Future approach

As more tickets are created, we should aim to distribute them as evenly as possible across the team.
