See DACS 6.3
When a collection is related to other collections in the Smith College Special Collections, provide the name of the collection, a link to the finding aid to the related collection, and a brief explanation of how the materials are related, if it is not readily apparent. If a collection was split between multiple repositories, especially if some of the collection is not at the Smith College Special Collections, this should also be noted.
Collections should be closely related in some way, for example by having the same source, creator, or subject. The collection could also be about the same family, organization, or department.
The note can either be in paragraph form or in a list using the sub-note field. Here is an example Related Materials note for the Madeleine L'Engle papers:
During her lifetime, L'Engle gave a significant amount of materials to Wheaton College's archive, which makes up their <extref href="https://archives.wheaton.edu/repositories/2/resources/30">Madeleine L’Engle papers</extref>. Additionally, the University of Minnesota and the University of Southern Missippi have book drafts, including drafts for <title render="italic">Wrinkle in Time</title>. The Cathedral of St John has some of L'Engle's sermons and other material related to her involvement in the church.
For correspondence from L’Engle, see <extref href="https://findingaids.smith.edu/repositories/2/resources/434">Mina Kirstein Curtiss papers</extref>. In the College Archives, for information on L’Engle’s time at Smith see <ref href="https://findingaids.smith.edu/repositories/4/resources/1275">Classes of 1941-1950 records</ref>, and for material related to L’Engle as an alumnae see <extref href="https://findingaids.smith.edu/repositories/4/resources/398">Smith College Medal Committee records</extref>.
