General Policy

Except in extraordinary circumstances, Technical Services does not have capacity to redact items in collections.

Redaction by Collection Steward

At their discretion, a collection steward may choose to redact material in order to allow access. Once the redaction is complete, the steward must submit a TS ticket with the following information:

• Link to archival object
• Type of information redacted (e.g., student names)
• Date of redaction

The Collections Archivist will then create a processing note documenting the redaction and remove the access restriction.
