Whenever a title should be italicized (books, films, zines, etc.), use the <title> tag.

For example, the following could be the entry in a file-level Title field:

<title>The Last Ballad of Rubin Stacy</title>

The same mechanism can also be used for titles in notes, for example a scope and content note could include the following sentence:

This accession includes the zine <title>The Last Ballad of Rubin Stacy</title>, written in 2012.

External links should be formatted as follows:

<extref href="URL">TEXT</extref>

For example: <extref href="http://libraries.smith.edu/libs/ssc/lives-intro.html">Full transcripts</extref> of many interviews are available online.
