See DACS 6.2

Use this note at the archival object level to record the details of digitization, including the following information, as necessary/known:

  • Name of vendor or other digitizer
  • Date of digitization
  • Availability (Note that if a public digital object instance exists for the digital content, there is no need to specify in this note exactly how to access the material. You must only note whether or not it is available online.)

This material was digitized by [vendor name/Smith College Special Collections staff] in [Month YYYY] and is available online.

All material from the AO was digitized but is not available online

Be sure to include the "[email protected]" portion as a mailto link.

Series/Collection level notes

ArchivesSpace's 'View Digital Material' button has made it unnecessary to put notes about digitized material that is available at higher levels of the collection, but such notes are not incorrect, and so may optionally be used
