Custom Firmware (CFW)

The following resources are tools that allow you to use custom firmware on the Switch.

• Atmosphère - The main custom firmware that allows for mods to be used on the Switch.
• Hekate - Custom bootloader, also allows for USB connection to transfer files to your SD.

Tools

The following tools are used to launch CFW or to launch/manage mods for Smash.

Utility

• TegraRcmGUI - A tool to help inject your desired payload to enter CFW.
• sys-ftpd-light - A tool to allow for file transfer over local internet.
• Quasar - A mod downloader and manager for Smash Ultimate. This will aid in organization of your mods.

Mod Loading

• ARCropolis - Plugin that allows for mods to be loaded into Smash.
• UltimateModManager - Homebrew application to install (compressed) Smash mods, allows for dumping of your game's files. Note: Yuzu support included.

Guides

These guides will aid you in installing the custom firmware listed above and to get your SD card ready for loading mods.

Switch

• Switch SN Checker - Use this to check if your Switch is patched or not.
• Homebrew Guide - A guide for getting into CFW. Note: If the guide asks to make an emuMMC, for Smash, you can choose to skip that step unless you know why you want it.

Smash

• Ultimate Mods Getting Started Guide - A guide to setting up mods for Smash Ultimate, assumes you already have CFW installed.
• Setting up FTP on your Switch - A guide written by Salomé to help set up FTP to avoid taking out the SD card often. Please scroll to the bottom of the guide to the "How to add mods to your Switch without taking your SD card out" section.
