How to solve stability issues in long sessions - smart-underworld/seestar_alp GitHub Wiki

For members who are using Alp, but are having stability issues during long sessions, I suggest the following:

1. Use static IP address to connect to your Seestars and SSC. Try not to use DNS to resolve network addresses. You can assign static IP addresses with your wifi router. Do not use named addresses.

2. Turn off Seestar auto dbe. My code now in main will automatically turn it off.

3. Try not to hang around Live View if possible. RTSP is an expensive protocol. There's a reason why Seestar does not expose RTSP in stargazing mode.

4. Try to use Continuous Acquisition Mode if possible. This will relieve CPU stress on Seestar.
