Toptels's current billing process is done on paper, then captured in excel and it takes five sales consultant and five days to complete the process per month. This process is not only a daunting task for the consultants but also posses a great threat to business due to poor customer service, billing problems and how their grievances are handled.

The following are identified challenges with the current system

  • Incorrect and erroneous billing information leading to unhappy and frustrated customers.
  • Loss of business sales due to wasted human resources
  • Manual and tedious billing process leading to duplication as well as separate billing for customers
  • Poor customer service and after sales care

High level objectives

Toptel understands that effective and accurate billing system is the core of revenue generation and ensuring that Toptel scales up as a business. The following have been identified as high objectives:

  • Automating current billing system
  • Adopt usage of network equipment and system databases
