Teams - slander36/IssueTrackerTraining GitHub Wiki

This section covers how to tag your issue with the appropriate team or specialty area.

Teams

Teams usually represent either a work group (e.g. a developer, QA, and producer/program manager), a specific feature (e.g. Login System), or a major focus area (e.g. UI). More than one person can be on each team, and each person may have more than one team they work with.

In order to classify your issues correctly, make sure and keep up to date with the current systems you are working on and testing so that you have a general sense of which team unit your issue should be assigned to. Your issue may move between teams, also, so if you're doing regression, make sure and follow the trail, as a one-off issue may be systemic, and a systemic may be a one off, which will change how you regress the issue in the end.
