There are a lot of books and explanations out there, that describe features and differences of graph databases to other databases in detail. That is why we do not start to provide a further description of graph databases here.

Most important from our point of view is, that data no longer stand for their own, but must be considered with respect to their relationships to other data. A short discussion about graph data may be found here.
