The IVE (Immersive Video Environment)

Start the IVE and the application

• (First ask a member for password of the lab-computer)
• Start the 3 projectors of the IVE with this remote control. You only need the green power-button. Make sure that you stay very closed to the projectors to send a signal. Sometimes you have to go around and behind the IVE, so that the projector can receive your remote control signals.

• Start the black lab computer under the IVE

• During the start you can dim the room if it's hard to see the projected pictures. Make sure that all windows are closed and the window boards are empty! You can use the buttons, which were tagged with "Verdunklung".

• Login with:
  • User: sitcomlab
  • Password: (see: above)
  • Please make sure, that you are in the right domain! If there stands GEOINFORMATIK\ please change it to: SITCOM\sitcomlab
• Open Google Chrome and go to the website http://giv-sitcomlab.uni-muenster.de:8080/ to open the application.
• For fullscreen, press the button F11 on your keyboard.
• Attention: Don't let the video be in fullscreen-mode, because the you can't scroll down and navigate through the videos.
• After the start you are able to navigate from a location to another location by controlling the application via a smartphone. Just open this link on your mobile device http://giv-sitcomlab.uni-muenster.de:8080/remote.html.
