A. Main Menu: The main menu gives access to the Modules of Simphy.
B. ToolBars: Each toolbar contains tools to create/analyze simulation objects.
C. Simulation Tree Panel: Shows list of created Objects, Joints , Forces and widgets which are present in the simulation.
D. Property Panel: Displays basic properties of joints and objects and allows quick editing of these properties.
E. Status Bar: Displays Information regarding current actions and some tips for the tools.
F. Canvas: Main Display of Simphy, where simulation is rendered (obviously it can not be hidden).
Watch the video below to see how you can show/hide toolbars and Property Panel, also notice that on creating objects, they get listed under Tree Panel.
Note: Instructions to create objects from Mechanics and Circuit module appear on the bottom-right whereas for Optics and Geometry objects, they are shown in the Status bar.
Keyboard Controls and Shortcuts
With Simphy you can use keyboard shortcuts to do things faster and easier. Although initially it is difficult to remember keyboard shortcuts, it becomes extremely handy once you are used to them. We tried to make shortcuts as intuitive as possible.
These shortcuts are application wide shortcuts and work whenever application has focus.
Ctrl + N : Creates new simulation
Ctrl + O : Shows file dialog to open already saved simulation
Ctrl + S : Shows dialog to save current simulation to file
Ctrl + R : Resets simulation to initial state (state when it was opened or previously saved)
