Creating Advanced Bodies - simphysoftwares/SimPHY-docs GitHub Wiki

(You can skip this page if you find it difficult at this point of time. We have added this part here to have the right flow of this documentation. You might cover this part after you have gone through all of Mechanics module tutorial.)

Many different shapes can be created by,

  1. Constructive Bodies: Two or more bodies can be overlapped upon each other (while simulation is in paused state). We can bring one body over other by right clicking and doing as shown. After that you can select 'constructive geometry' in dropdown of Bodies sub toolbar. Then you can either create Union, Intersection, Difference, Exclusive OR kind of body with respect to two bodies selected

  1. Bodies from curves and text (Free Hand curves):

We can input any curve by selecting 'Curve From Points' and Text body by selecting 'Body from Text' (again in dropdown of Bodies sub toolbar). Font and Font size can be changed for Text Bodies and Number of points and smoothness of curve can be changed as shown in video below

  1. Making bodies from imported images:

We will take this part in detail over making simulations interactive and visually appealing later. But here is brief over how imported images can be imposed over any body, or how we can cut and make body of desired shape directly from image.
