2. MAKING AND EDITING ELEMENTS - simphysoftwares/SimPHY-docs GitHub Wiki

Making Elements:

  1. Select any icon by clicking to create elements of the circuit. The node of elements moves freely when the grid is off and moves only on grid when it's on i.e., they snap on the grid while it’s on.
  2. If we select the element near its centre, then it can be translated or dragged as per cursor but its length and direction is fixed. If we select the element near any of its nodes, then the other node (tail) gets fixed and the selected node (head) can be moved freely.
  3. Nodes of one element (end points of element is node) try to snap on another nearby node of different elements. They do so even when the grid is on so that we may easily make circuits.

Editing Circuit (Select and Move, Or Remove):

  1. To delete any element select delete icon in tools and click on the element to be deleted.
  2. We can select more than one element for editing by using CTRL Select with cursor. After such selection elements selected don’t fall apart and act as one. It can be useful in modifying circuits easily.
  3. Bad and incomplete connections are shown with a hint at the bottom left corner of the interface.
