  • There are entire cantos, in Māgha, Bhāravi and Naiṣadha, that are in ardha-sama-vṛtta metres.
  • Aparavaktra
  • Pravṛttaca (all of these are varieties of Vaitālīya)
  • Odd lines are called Udīcya: metre with 4 of them is Cāruhāsinī; even lines are called prācya: metre with 4 of them is called Aparāntikā.
