Moon Gems are blocks only found on the floating islands surrounding the Moon Temple. There are only 32 per Moon Temple, meaning they are quite rare. Moon Gems are used for crafting the Moonlight Forge, Aurorian Slime Boots, and the Moon Temple Cell Key.

They can also be obtained without fighting any bosses, if you know where the Moon Temple is.
