Usage

Availability: Select Guilds

/rmtfeed destination add <channel> <role> <subforum> [prefix]

  • channel: The channel to send alerts to
  • role: The role to alert
  • subforum: The tracked RMT subforum on the Smogon forums
  • prefix (Optional): The forum thread prefix

Example:

/rmtfeed destination add channel:12345 role:54321 subforum:SV OU Teams prefix:SV OU

  • Chatot: View Channel, Send Messages | Send Messages in Threads
  • Users: Ban Members

Description

Summary: Configures where to alert on Discord for new RMT forum threads.

This subcommand allows you to choose who to alert on Discord (and where) whenever a new thread is posted within the tracked RMT subforums. Optionally providing a prefix will only alert the role in the Discord channel if the thread is posted with that prefix. If prefix is omitted, all new threads posted within the subforum will map to the channel and role. Think of this as "default" settings.

Only 1 destination channel and role is allowed per subforum+prefix combo (the default settings -- a subforum+ no prefix--is considered a unique combo). Running this command again for a subforum+prefix combo will update the channel and role preferences.

Imagine this command was run multiple times with the following options:

  • channel:12345 role:99999 subforum:SV OU Teams
  • channel:12345 role:11111 subforum:SV OU Teams prefix:SV OU

This means that threads posted in SV OU Teams with the prefix SV OU will ping role 11111 on Discord. All other threads posted to SV OU Teams will ping role 99999.

If you now run channel:12345 role:55555 subforum:SV OU Teams prefix:SV OU (note the change in role), the setup changes to threads posted in SV OU Teams with the prefix SV OU will ping role 55555. All other threads within SV OU Teams will still ping role 99999.

Subforums must be first added with the /rmtfeed source add subcommand before any channel alerts can be configured.
