The proposal

Our proposed project is a smart dustbin management system that aims to improve waste management and promote a cleaner environment. The system will use an ultrasonic sensor to detect the level of waste in the dustbin. Then sends the data to a module that alerts the house owner to pick it up. The system will allow for smarter and cleaner homes. It will sense the depth of the waste in the dustbin and using this information will light a LED that will reflect that it's time to clear the waste in the dustbin. It will also send data of how filled the dustbin is to a smart phone using A GSM module. The project can be further improved later on for bigger waste containers using more or better sensors.
